Our dearest cat is named Mr. Magoo because he has crossed eyes and has always seemed to have vision problems. We adopted him as an adult when he was 5-8 years old and he is now 17 or so. He’s lost weight, and at the vet’s yesterday the receptionist spelled his name Mr. Mague. Henry and the vet started talking about the cartoon and how the name Magoo was losing its pointed meaning.
